The Nikon D3400 is a 24.2-megapixelDX format DSLR Nikon F-mount camera officially launched by Nikon on August 17, 2016.[1] It is marketed as an entry-level DSLR camera for beginners and experienced DSLR hobbyists. It replaces the D3300 as Nikon's entry level DSLR.
Nikon offers a body/lens kit combinations that varies from country to country. In most countries the D3400 is available with an AF-P 18-55 mm kit lens that includes Nikon's image stabilization (Vibration Reduction, VR). In the US there is an unusual two lens kit option offered only with the black body.[2] The 18-55 mm lens has VR but the second lens being a 70-300 mm is the non-VR variant for a total of US$999.[3]
Aug 08, 2017 Do you have a Nikon camera that features Auto AF Fine Tune? If so, then this video is just what you need to get the most from it! The thing is, the way most people use Auto AF Fine Tune is. One of the biggest reasons to buy a more advanced DSLR than the Nikon D3400 is to get a better autofocus system, right? After all, the D3400 only has 11 focus points, which is quite small compared to the 39-point system on the Nikon D5600, let alone some mirrorless cameras targeted at a similar audience which may have upwards of 100 focus points.
The D3400 is available in a black or red body.
- Apr 28, 2016 We take a look at the new Nikon D500 Automatic AF Fine Tune function added to the Nikon D500 and D5 cameras and compare it with Reikan Focal. We take a look at the new Nikon D500 Automatic AF Fine Tune function added to the Nikon D500 and D5 cameras and compare it with Reikan Focal. The Nikon D500 is supported along with any auto focus lens.
- Auto AF Fine-Tuning. The D850 can fine-tune autofocus automatically. The results can be used with all lenses of the same type. Use only as required. AF fine-tuning should be performed at the focus distance at which the lens is normally used; finetuning performed at short focus distances may be less effective with distant subjects and vice versa.
The D3400 was superseded as Nikon's entry-level camera by the D3500 in August 2018.
